What is the difference between Unsanctioned and Sanctioned hockey in Canada?
Sanctioned hockey in Canada means that association's that are governed under hockey Canada. Unsanctioned refers to any hockey league or association that is not governed by Hockey Canada.

Can a player attend camps/play in NJHL games without receiving a penalty from Hockey Canada?
A player can play games and attend camps for unsanctioned leagues BEFORE September 30th of that same season without facing a penalty.
What ages are eligible to play?
Any player is eligible between 16-21. Teams can carry a max of 14 21-year-olds and 5 15 year-olds. The cut off is December 31st of that same season.
